A4 AMP problem: FX & pan don't work

Hi guys,

I just bought an A4, what a lovely machine. I ran into a problem today: I can’t assign FX or pan to any of the tracks. The first moment I got the machine it was no issue, but now for some reason these Amp features don’t work anymore.

I use overbridge so send the tracks via USB to my DAW.

Are you saying fx & pan don’t work with OB?

If so & you’re routing individual tracks then pan won’t apply b’cos you’re sending a mono track. If you want to record automated panning send to the L & R bus instead.
This is where you’ll find your fx also.

start a new project and see if the problem remains … also , do you have the FX channel track light on green ?

Thanks bluewolfse7ven & TrabanT. As bluewolf stated, the FX will only affect the main channels. In other words, if I want to apply effects on all tracks in A4 but send them out seperately (through overbridge), I have to apply the effects in my DAW instead of in my A4, right? Or is there a way I still can use my effects in A4?

I would record my tracks individually, (removed from L & R bus), but record L&R bus as well as this will be effectively a stereo fx track.

You can then play as normal flying in fx but have the option to edit later.

hi guys i have the same problem i cant control the fx of the a4 when im using the ob pleas help if anyone know how to fix it,
