A4: Add a trig to all pages at once?

Is there a way to add a trig to all pages at once?

I encounter this situation quite frequently, e.g. when adding drum hits to a sequence. It’s possible to quickly copy & paste a page, but this is just not very convenient, especially in a live setting…

Maybe a workaround with NEI Trig Conditions, if you place them everywhere on T2-T3-T4?

Doable with an external sequencer like OT if you set all tracks on the same midi channel.

Eventually record the trigs with mini keyboard midi out to in, same midi channels, not if sure you can record all tracks at the same time.

I think you should be able to with one of the poly settings.

I know this has been discussed! I remember saying I was going to try it out because it sounded cool- but I ended up not doing that and selling it instead…

I think there’s a poly setting that will trigger each tracks respective notes, and then turn on 4 voice unison I think.

Yes of course! Forgot that!
Unison + Use Track Sounds + Poly 1-4

Perhaps you can combine Mute trigs if you don’t want to trigger all steps…

Thanks everyone - this solves another question I had … but

Maybe my post was confusing: I was referring to adding trigs across multiple sequencer pages for a single track, e.g. if I have all 4 pages (1 - 64) in the sequencer, I’d like to add a trig to to first 16th on page 1 2 3 and 4 (e.g. for creating a 4/4 kick over the whole sequence quickly).

This feature doesn’t exist on the A4.

Btw, the Synthstrom Deluge has it implemented (add or remove a trig from all pages at once).

You could set all the tracks to the same midi channel and live record them in?

Edit: but no, you can’t directly do this

It’s possible if you start with 1 bar, place your trigs, change scale to 4 bars.
First bar will be duplicated.

Yeah, that’s what I normally do: Use advanced scale mode, so I can have shorter pattern length for an individual track, and then change it to 2 or 4 bars.

Still, would be sort of a nice feature, e.g. holding the [Page] key pressed to give you an “overlay” of all pages and allowing to edit multiple trigs.
