it basically lets you randomise all the parameters available on the synthesiser via USB.
The guy who came up with it, stated that it started out as a Max patch, and then he built it as a standalone app, so he could sell it.
I started wondering, there’s a lot of examples of people randomising stuff on their MDs with Max patches, would it be possible to build a standalone app out of one of those patches, to randomise my AR MKI’s parameters?
Is there an app that could do it already? Is there anyone I could commission to build something like that for me? I’d gladly pay some cash for something that works like the Degrader for Rev2 I mentioned in the begging, as I know next to nothing about programming, and sure as anything wouldn’t like to pay for Max just to reassure myself I can’t grasp this stuff.
Different midi configurations between MD and AR, so not entirely transferable. Cats who had Max could do one for the AR if they wanted. I don’t know Max, so not sure if you can make standalone applications from it (?) Edit: Yes you can. Thanks @Airyck
I know of one in development / alpha.
Development isn’t cheap. Could be a good opportunity to learn. Look at something like Max, or existing iPad apps etc.
Max is free for 30 days and there are built-in tutorial patches to do these sort of things. In my opinion the documentation/support alone is worth the price of admission. A Max patch doesn’t necessarily have to be a huge, tangled endeavor. I get more play with simple patcher building blocks that can be combined as needed.
Pure Data, which is free, is another option.
But if I had an Analog Rytm and knew it in and out I would review what I had learned about Scene Mode and Performance Mode and the use of LFO shapes and destinations sent to Machine parameters. The MIDI implementation chart provides a good overview of the fun that can be had.
