Antigone from a new maker Nanopolis
Preliminary layout, not final.
Normally i’d skip another Eurorack module from a new company, but this deserves a mention. Digital four voice multi-timbral synthesizer in 26hp.
Sound only video, queued.

I honestly don’t understand these digital multivoice Eurorack modules. At least this one appears to have four V/oct inputs as opposed to one TRS MIDI. There’s definitely a market, and it isn’t hurting anyone, I guess, but…!
Right, it does have CV in, but no V/octave, which would probably hog a lot of those inputs. Like you said, there must be a market.
Ah, right, I missed that MIDI in, the black cable at lower left. So it is like all the others.
Five now !
Another polyphonic digital module ( to complain about ). The Neuzeit Warp.
This may be another trend at SB23.
Four voice but additive synthesis this time combined with wavetable. ( I couldn’t find a sound sample yet though. Something to look forward to for sure. )
ADDED : Additive synthesis with 512 sine waves per oscillator = 4096 sine waves in total. The specs on this thing look pretty cool. This will need a thread eventually.
While I respect your opinion, I might challenge and say maybe the American guys like Mario and Enrique maybe just don’t showcase the style/genre that you prefer like The great Cenk. I find it refreshing hearing a new take on what these machines can do in other genres/styles then the previous offerings.
In terms of marketing, I think its probably important to them to try to widen their demographics since they already have won over the cenk centric crowd. I really enjoyed the last live stream type video that Enrique and Mario put out recently on the Elektron channel. I think Mario is super talented and love hearing him make more boom bap oriented stuff on the Elektron machines, and seeing a few of his tricks on some of the perfect circle videos IE Digitakt two lfo update etc.
IMO Cenk is and was an amazing musician and eloquent product specialist, and I have learned a lot from his videos throughout my years with Elektron, so no slight against him, just feel like Mario has a tough job to try to compete with the past nostalgia while doing his thing. I think Ricky is a great addition and yin to his yang in terms of presentation style
It seems like nearly every day in r/modular or r/synthesizers someone asks about polyphonic eurorack. It seems a bit nuts to me, too, but people seem to keep asking for it.
While you are right that its just not my genre its just not that complex I think and doesn´t show the potential of the machines. I think those 4 to the floor beats are a little underwhelming for an elektron sequencer. But as you said. Might come down to taste.
I kind of agree with you, but the overall sequencing capabilities of the machines haven’t evolved that much. There’s plenty of absolutely wild using-everything-to-the-max music out there featuring Elektron gear. It’s nice to have more official demos that are restrained and show off the sequencer in a more traditional setting.
On-topic: polyphonic Eurorack is pretty widely asked-for. While it isn’t something that I personally want right now, I’m happy to see the manufacturers have responded to the desires for this.
Didn’t see mention of this in a search, Dreadbox mentions “something NEW” in an insta post for Superbooth.
What a time to be alive with all these announcements.
Superbooth should be renamed ; « bangers. All day »
I heard Rodec is presenting new gear too.
As long as it’s not as big as the original xpander.
Xpander: 33 x 12.5 x 6 inches
OB-X8 Desktop: 22 x 8.5 x 4 inches
OB-X8 seems to be pretty chonky and is several inches wider than a Peak.
Oh, right, I have no space for that either.
I assume that a big part of that size was the necessary internals - I’d hope not so much now.
My Take5 has a main board only around 9”x9”, which is probably a decent example of their modernized tech.
Chances are though it’d be at the OB-X8 Desktop price range or even more which would be too much for me.
For a Take 5 desktop? I’d imagine it would be closer to $1k.
No for an Xpander successor.
Take 5 already has a keyboard price point it’d be less than for a desktop.
There’s no Matrix 12 reissue to know the upper bound for an Xpander reissue.
not sure if this was mentioned yet but on their instagram arturia said to “get ready for a brand new product launch”
Augmented Sine Wave
Jk thanks for mentioning, interested to see what this might be…
