Sorry to hear. Losing a pet is difficult and tough to keep your mind off, especially when it’s tragic. Stay strong man. You’re a good person for caring the way you do. Turn your sorrow into something creative. Wish you the best.

Really sorry to hear that, Rady. Pets and animals are incredibly special, and when you really form a bond with one - like you did with Gefcho - there’s no limit to the love you feel.
I LOVE cats with quirky personalities, especially when they act somewhat dogish. I have a similar bond with mine. She comes on the morning walk with my son, dog and me. I would be devastated if something violent like that were to happen to her.
Keep your heart open and loving and best of luck in healing.
Rady,
So sorry to hear of the loss of a member of your family.
Hang in there, friend.
I greatly appreciate your comments, as they are valuable in such a difficult moment…

I had my favorite cat of all time run over by a car when I was a kid, a grey tabby, and his friend cat came over to scratch on our door to tell us what happened (this cat never came over for anything, was scared of people!), so I feel what you’re going through - my wife is allergic to cats & dogs, so I haven’t had a cat or dog as an adult…no pain, but no gain neither! Gerbils or fish don’t quite cut the mustard
Courage, you lost a buddy, but cherish the time you had with him.
Nice to see folk who care about animals, although of course this isn’t a nice situation.
Feel better fella!

Such a cool looking cat, very sorry for your loss. Yeah, pets are members of the family no question about it.
Sorry to hear about your loss buddy. If something happened to my dog, I would be devastated as well.

Sorry for you and your family man,
I just lost a YESKE - Cat - 2 weeks ago, she was very happy living with us in the fields but some fools drive like crazy around here. We are missing her . This winter an other little Kitten was dropped - just like that - in our garden ( she couldn't even eat yet - only milk - mutch to Young bu YESKE accepted her ). She's staying ( it took her 6 months to overcome her fear for us ) but YESKE can't be replaced. I'm shure you took good care of GEFCHO or you wouldn't talk about her around here - so she or he had a good life - witch is the most important.
I know it's hard to loose a friend.....
Yes, I really do care about animals and my academic development is related to them… I’ve always loved animals, not just from scientific point of view - they are unique creatures, just like in this bad case with Gefcho…
I just decided to put a reminder here, to like Gefcho on Facebook and comment - that’s the way to give me some support - you won’t believe how dreadful the feeling is… We miss the little buddy…

I know what you feel. I also lost my cat 3 months ago.

I am very sorry to hear that, DL. Thanks for the support!
Very sorry for your loss. We have three cats and they’re each precious members of the family. We’ve also lost a few furry friends over the years and it’s always very hard to accept.
Hang in there!!
Oh wow, it’s so nice to see someone who cares so much for animals and has genuine affection for them. I lost my cat once too, she almost died once and we made an operation but then she disappeared a few years later. Put up posters, until someone came over and said they saw someone run her over in anger. I looked on the road and saw her fur. I am glad someone called the service, I’d hate to see her in that bad of a shape.
Years later I came by a dog with similar features, both had their tails cut off by cruel people. Similar colors and behavior. I wonder…
I still have another cat and this new dog which is like my best friend now.
All I am saying, the fact that you love your cat so much, you can find solace knowing that your love benefited your cat and that love will return to you some day in one form or another. But it’s good what you are doing, you have to let yourself grief over your friend, after all your feelings for your cat were as real as they come. Stay strong, buddy.
allyourblood, Rabbitfrog,
I’m grateful for all your kind words and support and to all of you, who encouraged us in this topic!

Rabbitfrog,
Terribly sorry to hear what you had to go through, as well… The support my family get (either here or on Facebook) works - it cannot heal the wound, but it’s appreciated and makes us feel not alone…

That’s a real angel of a cat, Rady - so obvious in the pictures. Again, sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to your Family.
It never gets easier to lose a family member, that’s for sure.
