Although, sometimes I feel a bit ashamed of making my music public. I had the same feeling with the Monomachine that I now have with the A4, that I’m somehow using it the wrong way cos everyone else seems to be making some crazy experimental tracks, while I just make simple loop techno.
Then again, man’s gotta to do what his gut feeling is telling him, and my guts tell me to make cheap copies of Robert Hood’s or Basic Channel’s tracks.
That’s pretty funny. I don’t know, I think there’s enough guys on this site making good ambient & experimental stuff. I’ll stick to my 4 on the floor techno, because that’s what makes my soul smile:)
Yeah, live A4 jams. The Boss KM-60 is doing a bit of EQ’ing (maybe 1dB of bass boost and a few dB of treble boost), other than that there’s nothing else involved, unless you count the Zoom H4n recorder, which is recording the jam.
Ok, here’s two new ones. The first one I made actually yesterday, but Soundcloud’s bot detected that it uses illegal samples or something and it took some time to sort it out . The second one was made for the Subsekt forum’s challenge, where you had to to choose one of the four emotions and make a techno track that conveys that emotion. I chose joy, dunno how well I succeeded,
You’re definitely on a roll! I really like your tracks. Amazing that you can do that with just the A4 + mixer. OTOH, limitations spur creativity, or so they say.
yeah - really digging the ruff & tuff vibe on these my man. some great acid lines in here & proper detrioty melodic parts - raw, like it should be. ace.
