Quite opposite from the venue Autechre played in Oslo tonight then. Complete darkness from beginning to end. Here’s a nice pic from the gig:
The rule of thirds would have magnified the shot, too bad.
Hoping for the same view at Vega in Copenhagen! How was the gig?
I don’t know Autechre that well, and have only heard parts of their release catalogue. Used to listen to Amber ages ago, and parts of the NTS sessions among other things. So I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It was a physically impressive gig, massive, massive beats. In the long run it felt a bit monotonous for mye taste, an ambient break or two from the onslaught of staccato drums and granular sizzle would have been nice. I can still feel the gig in my chest and head
Thanks! Sound pretty good from the description! Last time they were in Copenhagen it was pretty droney and abstract, and while impressive, I had a difficult time getting into it properly. Looking forward to massive beats on Sunday!
Enjoy! It’s an experience, for sure!
Oslo Bootlegs are sublime.
Makes me feel defeated I work for days on a 20 minute sequence of patterns.
They churn out an hour of awesome new body/mind music every gig.
Edit: I guess they have developed their live system for 30 years…
At one point I felt the skin around my skull vibrating. I had a lot of fun!
You were there too, cool! I liked the support act as well.
Who was playing support?
Kristoffer Lislegaard!
He’s releasing a new record on Sunday
See you there dude!
I need the boys to get these official soundboards released, really want to listen to the Dublin gig in high quality!
Did anyone at the Oslo show get a look at the merch table? What was there?
I only saw t-shirts with the blue dots on them.
Ya. Absolutely like this. The beats are back. Look forward to the sound boards.
the stockholm set is absolutely bonkers all the way through.
