Anybody got boozer plans yet? I might start the evening at the Rising Sun, but will be catching up with some ex-colleagues, not synth nerds.
Weāve got to drive in now because of the train strike on Saturday, so weāll be parking and going straight in. I think thereās a bar in the hotel weāre staying in thatās right next to the Barbican, so probably there after.
From what ive heard theres a lot of people on this forum who sound like Autechre. I guess he got in first.
So I canāt make it to Fridayās show anymore

Haha my mate sent me the info Barbican sent over, to leave you have to hold up a piece of paper and someone with night vision goggles will escort you out and you canāt come back in, so Iām definitely going to not drink too much before in case I need the loo
I canāt say I follow Autechre, I love their early stuff but havenāt ever really got into the later stuff (but also havenāt really tried). Iām very intrigued to see what theyāre like live as people speak of their shows so reverently. Not sure it will quite be my thing but Iām sure itāll be an interesting experience at the very least!

Thatās a serious amount of effort. Kinda makes me want to get my own night vision goggles and spend the gig doing a live action Metal Gear Solid with the ushers.

When Iāve seen them before, itās always been in environments that arenāt all that dark, even with the lights off, so itāll be cool for it to be somewhere where they can make it as close to pitch black as possible.
