A few questions.. (Performance Mode, Resolution)

Hi,

First of all I’ve setup a performance mode pad which opens the filter on a cowbell pad which I’ve massaged into a synth bass. However when I press the pad, even with the sequencer stopped, it seems to be triggering that sound. It even triggers the sound when all the pads are muted (but not when I turn the volume down on that track)

Second, I’ve got a 16th note hi-hat pattern, and I want to record a couple 32nd note bits in there. However the only way I’ve been able to do it is to p-lock retrig on that step. Playing 32nd notes in the sequencer seems to result in only 16th notes being recorded, even with quantize (global and track) set to zero or 32.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That the sound is triggered by the pads when its muted is intended behavior. Mute only suppresses the sequencers note triggering, its not muting the audio like on the OT. So you can still play muted track manually. However, I don’t know how it reacts to external midi notes…

Retrig recording is planned since the manual explicitly mentions that feature on page 35, but i think it is not implemented yet.

I know the mute is at the sequencer level. However the sound is triggering when I press the pad in performance mode. That shouldn’t happen, it’s not even the same pad the sound is on.

As for retrig recording, yeah this would be cool if they’d get it implemented. However I’m talking about recording higher resolution than 16th notes, which I believe requires me to divide the pattern by half, which would result in the pattern length being 2 bars spread across 4 pages. (I am used to the Tempest which can record up to 32nd notes OR unquantized.
