98% of Dawless ’Jams’ Sound Like…

‘We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls, however, your call is important to us…’

Is it me, or do the majority Dawless jams sound like telephone hold music??

Place an imaginary band pass filter over them, and there it is, hold music.
It’s made listening to them become quite fun for me… being the miserable/cynical/over-serious middle-aged man I’ve become. :sunglasses:

In fact, I’ve started to evaluate my own efforts in this way…

Does this sound like hold music?
If YES- delete.
If NO- hit save. Maybe… if it’s not shite.

Honestly, I’d rather hear a loop of all the posts from the

thread than traditional on-hold music

There’s a reason they’re jams and not finished tunes…

I think you have to take jams for what they are really. Or not take them at all, which is obviously an option

Can we stop with the BoBeats bashing? Sure, you don’t like him or his music. Keep it to yourself and talk about something you do enjoy. Much more enjoyable.

Noted and edited… wasn’t intended as a Bo bash, and there’s no dislike for him personally.

My hold music is Ode to Joy….

Stone cold classic this track slaps

There’s a fantastic podcast episode about it floating around too

Yeah. Well… it does smell a bit. And those stains are suss.

You don’t know how many times I’ve heard this sentence in my life.

More than the number of good “dawless jams” you’ve heard eh?

There’s also a great “This American Life” episode on “Opus No. 1”:
