Also, some quick testing, I tried two pedals that can be switched to either True or Buffered bypassed (strymon big sky, MXR Reverb, both surface mount) on the Subsequent37 at full output.
Grasping at straws, I’d say only the MXR Reverb had barely introduced noise and volume change on true bypass mode, barely, when the effect was true bypassed.
My MXR Phase 100 (I only use on Bass guitar anyway) is a hardwired true bypassed, soldered thru pedal, which on the Subsequent37 has no noise in use, but did introduce volume change (or cut the tone) and had noise when bypassed.
