Recently bought an octatrack so I can perform my music live, iv set it so that track 6 is a through machine and track 7 is a pickup machine that listens to track 6. I’m playing guitar into track 6 and both tracks are going out the cue output to my amp. There is one section with a guitar solo where I would like to loop the chords with the pickup machine then solo over the top.
I can’t seem to get it to work as the section is a 6 bar phrase. How iv achieved this is by having a pattern length of 3 bars and using scale per track to play some tracks at half speed. Iv set Rec1 trig to ONE2 Rlen to max and Rec2 Qrec and Qpl to plen. It hought this would let me start the recording at the beginning of the phrase and then end the loop manually but it doesn’t stop when I press Rec1, rec2 or rec3 and if I set the steps any lower than max the loop is really short.
Is anybody able to help? iv searched the forum and looked in tha manual but so far I can’t get it to work.
