Great thread thanks for the drums man.
No ?
Aha, i’m glad you asked!
Always leave the audience wanting more, so they say…
But yeah, no cowbells
True dat Squire.
Loving your work though.
Many thanks.
totally welcome, the process of selection for brevity in preparation for sharing has actually been extremely beneficial for myself also, now having a limited number of favourite sound selections in convenient folders.
so much wanted to post the cowbell video, and yet, refrained from doing so.
wow thanks for these samples… sound great!
Cheers guys, but this is a thread for pitched samples. Cool to share other stuff on other threads, but this is pitched samples only. Sooooo … sharing is caring, usually, although in this case, sharing anything but pitched samples is kind of muddying the water. Strange but true.
Sometimes, less is truly more.
Dling now…thanks a lot.
As a counterpoint to the tonal drums, 20 ambiguously pitched vocoder samples …
by introducing snippets of harmonic richness, this sometimes helps to release any insistently implied tone frequencies from drums
ambiguity is achieved via introduction of flanging, tape effects of wow and flutter, manual glitch techniques, etc … intentional repitching, reverb introduced early then reprocessed, and so on…
and one more, for good measure … drawbar organ style bass and re-pitched chord samples, all original as per the previous zip, enjoy …
the nature of how harmonics work in either real drawbar organs or via the simulated version, is accommodating to a slightly wider range of pitch inaccuracy
