i am trying to upload a longer file to the RYTM as i’ve read people being able to do so… when i upload via c6 it says it transfers the entire file, but when browsing in the RYTM it only uploads 3.40MB of the file, and names it 0 instead of the name of the file. is there a file size limit for samples loaded onto the RYTM? Is there something i’m doing completely wrong? i’ve cleared all but two tiny samples out of ram, so it doesn’t appear to be a project size limit…
I haven’t uploaded anything nearly that large but C6 behaved the same way for me when I didn’t have everything set up properly. It would name the files numerically and wouldn’t upload all of them in one batch, etc. I forget exactly which boxes I didn’t have checked or whatever. Are you able to upload shorter samples successfully with your current settings?
If you don’t want to loose the sample name you need to check the “Send SPS-1UW Name” option in C6.
I’ve never had any sample get truncated when sending it to my AR. But if the original sample is anything but 16bit 48kHz mono it will be converted in the sample transfer process, and that does affect file size. Might be that?
hmmm, i have send sps-1uw name checked, but not extended SDS… if i check extended sds it only uploades 40 samples 0.01mb of the file and then says Done. i’m able to upload smaller files just fine, but anything over a few MB it seems like truncates at a fixed % of that file… i tried a 15 or so second audio file and it truncated at like 1 second, as opposed to my 4minute file that truncates at 8 or so seconds in…
