3/4 time signature

hi,
I know there are already threads out there discussing the time signature topic, still - as the question is a quite more specific;

I wanted to play a walz over the Chromatic via the live rec, but
it turns out the OT will stamp my melody onto the 16/16s pattern no matter what. isn´t there a way to tell OT how I like to do it? I want it that way so I can permutate patterns out of these trig records, without doing math behind… .

maybe theres a workaround?
thanks

Scale Setup pg 92 or Per Track Scale mode pg 89 manual.

Math: 3/4 = 12/16 = 24/32 = 36/48 = 48/64

Hey there,

I know you said you’ve taken a look at other threads, but have you seen this one?

It’s for the DT, but it’s fairly comprehensive. As I point out, what (I think) you’re trying to do is possible on a machine like the TR 8, but if you wanted an easy way to visualize 3/4 it’d be best to use multiple patterns at 12/16 scale.

I don’t have an OT though, so I’m kinda talking out of my ass. But my understanding is that every box works like this.
