I agree with a lot of people on here, at least my iPad 3 isn’t powerful enough to do anything incredibly cool with by itself… most keyboard apps don’t have a sequencer so it makes it difficult to program patches since you’re constantly triggering it with one hand, leaves only one hand free to tweak stuff. Using elektron stuff gets you used to a higher standard as well. However, using the OT to sequence apps like Nave and resample them really made the iPad more easily accessible to my workflow, and Samplr is really great as well, exporting those loops into the OT allows me to get longer ideas going.
