I wish they offered something like a 24 hour demo mode for iPad apps.

I just pick wisely now, and try to only buy things on sale, or wait for a while to decide on buying an app. I recently organized all of my music apps into folders, categorized by the ones I use most…there’s a lot I should probably just delete, but a few that have become essential.

Hooking up the iPad to the rest of my hardware made it a lot more “real” as an instrument for me. I recently mapped out all the controls on the MNM to a controller set to the Mono’s autochannel, and am sequencing some of my iPad synths from the mono as well. I’ve already mapped all the controls in Animoog, and am going to do the same with a few others. When I select the track for Animoog on the Mono, I can control it just like hardware, as well as take advantage of the touch interface.
