2 Trig Modes > Audio/Midi

OT reserves always some surprises…

Just discovered that if you set a Trig Mode in Audio Mode (Chromatic/Slices/DelayCtrl etc)
then
you can have a different layer while in Midi Mode (only those available for it…I would choose QuickMute !! )

So…if you are in Audio mode…you can have, say, DelayCtrl and by pressing only MIDI (orange led) you have a quick access to QuickMute…without the FUNCT+UP/DOWN combo

Nice, i’m controlling the Korg Radias via OT. Do you know how to get the ARP going in audio mode? I can’t get that page up unless I use midi.

Hey Gigi,

In general, that’s very useful. However, when you’re just after some mutes, theres a faster/easier way to do that: manually trigger a sample on the track that you want to mute and just keep the button/pad/key pressed! It’s so useful that the OT plays samples monophonically! However, this requires either an external MIDI keyboard/drum pads (which I always have attached to the OT for some live drumming and keys) or Tracks mode to be selected.

EDIT: why don’t you use the mixer page for muting? without a MIDI keyboard attached I’d choose Chromatic trig mode in Midi mode. Btw, what I wrote above doesn’t work on the MD, but I’m just happy that it does work on the OT.

@Rob: unfortunately, the arp’s are only available in Midi mode. some people connect the Midi outs of the OT to the ins of the OT as a workaround. In your case: OT out --> Radias in, Radias thru --> OT in, or with a Midi splitter.
