For information and sharing, i’m reporting here some methods to get the 303 sound with A4 got from threads:

“Computer Controlled” method:

OSC 1: Transistor Pulse
PW: Around 20
VCF KB tracking: Off
VCA EG Sustain: Fully on
VCA EG Release: around 10
FILTER 2: LP2
Tips:
Don’t crank the reso all the way up, the 303’s filter doesn’t self oscillate.
Filter EG and EG Depth to taste.

“SBSIX” method:

OSC 1: Feedback Osc (Little increases of volume to taste)
OSC 2: Triangle
PW: Full right
Filter 1: Little overdrive

“GmbH” method:

OSC 1 WAV: Triangle
OSC 1 TUN: -24
OSC 2: Level Off
FILTER 1 FRQ: 6
FILTER 1 RES: 44
FILTER 1 OVR: +20
FILTER 1 TRK: 0
FILTER 1 DEP: +25
FILTER 2 FRQ: 9
FILTER 2 RES: 35
FILTER 2 TYP: PK
FILTER 2 TRK: +23
FILTER 2 DEP: 0
AMP ATK: 0
AMP DEC: 37
AMP SUS: 100
AMP REL: 8
AMP SHP: 2
Tips:
The trick is as well using Note Slide and Accent, and of course playing with the filter resonance and frequency (preferably on the Peak filter) and the Amp page (especially SUS and DEC) for shorter punchy notes.
This worked for me to make TM404ish basslines.

“Area303” method:

OSC 1: Trap (or Sawtooth)
OSC 1 PWM: -20
FILTER 2 TYP: LP2
AMP ATT: 0
AMP DEC: Roughly 3 seconds.
AMP SUS: 0
AMP REL: 0
FILT ENV ATT: 0
FILT ENV DEC: to taste
FILT ENV SUS: 0
FILT ENV REL: 0
Tips:
Use only the cutoff, resonance, VCF env amt and decay.
Don’t forget the accents and slides.
Set portamento amount in VCO 2 page 2 to around 16.

“Cocker” tips:

Also make sure trig length set to 1/16ths
Everything else is in the sequencer. Accents, slides
Worth noting with the 303 that if two notes are more than 1/16th apart it kind of auto legatos the preceding note to get the slide. No real way to fully emulate this on the A4

Maybe someone using the search function with “303” keyword can find all infos in a single thread.
Unfurtunatelly the search function of this boards isn’t the best one.
