Sorry if there’s already a topic on this. Tried searching a few times, but it could be that I’ve failed in my search;
How do you guys keep your OB-connected Analog boxes in sync with Ableton? I’m not talking about MIDI clock, but rather the Elektrons knowing when it’s time to play which pattern.
I think you could send program changes (I haven’t figured this out 
), but wouldn’t that introduce the problem where if you start in the middle of the song, the Elektrons don’t necessarily follow suite? The logic being, program changes have to happen BEFORE the actual pattern starts to play, so starting on the beat where the ‘new pattern’ is supposed to be playing, you’ve missed the program change.
Is this something that could be helped in future OB updates? Any talk of this?
How do you do this? I’d really appreciate any and all help, as stuff like this tends to get my blood pressure up – thank god for Elektrons not needing a mouse…
