Sample release

Is there a way to let a sample release (carry on playing) when it has been re-triggered on the same track?
I’m struggling with a sample that cuts off when it is re-triggered.
My only solution is to put the same sample into another machine on a different track.

Mono tracks only on the Octatrack… it has to cut off.

What about using “individual Track Lengths”? (I started using this last night and it is awesome!)

Say the current length is 16 notes, with a trig on the first note.
Create two tracks with the same sample and make the Lengths 32 notes, then put the second track’s trig on the 17th note…

This is the only way I can think of achieving what you want to do…

Maybe plock delay send as a workaround?

Yes I keep trying ways of using delay to make polyphonic tracks. Some success but limited on length…

Definitely not ideal…

Could try this trick for it.

Put the tail on one channel and bring in with pan when needed. Would be tricky getting it to start at correct volume unless trigs always evenly spaced.

Ressnpling is probably the best way if you need to save tracks…
