Questions from the manual (Appendix C)

Hello.

I do not understand some MIDI messages from the manual.

On the first page of Appendix C, there are three MIDI messages that I want to

know. Multiply F (65), Toggle Seq Sync A# (70), and Toggle Seq Sync+Start B (71).

My question is that what these functions are for?

The letters (like F) refer to the MIDI note letter/value. So F on the keyboard (MIDI note number 65) triggers the Multiply function which is an option in the pickup machines.

I understand MIDI notes and numbers. My question is what Multiply and Toggles are for.

Same as for the pickup machine. Read that machine description. Multiply multiples the loop. The only reason they are listed in the back is so that if you choose, you can automate them via MIDI CCs.

In fairness to BANDMASTA, the Multiply function is mentioned but not actually described anywhere in the OT manual.

You are right. It’s been so long since I thumbed through the manual, I forgot. It does say x1, x2, double, etc in places but they don’t come right out and say multiply.
