Polyend Sequencer

Not yet, and I’ve not had it long enough to think of a way round that apart from the nifty pattern jumping which I’ve not tried.
I have the OT and DT though so can get round it.
Even with that conditional trig limitation there are plenty more features that more than keep me happy and occupied, the sequence playback directions and retrig velocity curve options are glorious!
Really love having midi ratcheting too and a modulation source that’s easy to assign, throw in the randomisation and I’m a happy chappie!

Thanks, it’s been hard seeing the cat deteriorate and then being told she doesn’t have long
And yeah I panic-sold hoping that the money would help but it didn’t and it was too late.

Thanks to forum members who have bought from me these last few months and thanks to a few others whom I’ve sold privately to also :pray:t3:

What’s your thoughts on this versus a deluge?

No idea of what the deluge is capable of doing sequencer wise sorry!

Been playing with this Seq and a Waldorf XT aaaaalllllllllll day and I just can’t get over how intuitive and quick it is to use, a pure joy!
Been sequencing chords and single notes on single tracks, crazy modulation and random direction for some serious FM/Wavetable tones and grooves.

Love doesn’t do my feelings justice…

I saw this, looks like they have allowed the rolls to be the length of the note now rather than just a step, like the Rytm etc…
This sequencer is brilliant anyway, love love it!

Bit of a letdown that it only has 48 midi outs though, shame

I starting to hate April fool’s day. :joy:

Yes, I was totally interested in this larger version, then came the second thought…

But this one is for real

Know this video. Kind of a weird performance.

Polyend have just announced a killer deal: buy the SEQ, get the POLY module for free. That’s like a 450€ here in Europe…I like this thing so much I might pull the trigger, even though I don’t really know if I need it

I had one, and it’s brilliant for fast sketching - pretty much unrivalled… but in the end I sold it to fund my Octatrack, and I have never regretted it, even for a second.

It’s a beautiful looking instrument. Easy to GAS for but, for me, considering I never touch the midi side of my OT it’d end up gathering a huge amount of dust.

For those in the market for a sequencer and with some eurorack then it seems like an incredible deal.

Glad to know that because I already have an Octatrack, but I love how immediate things can be done on the SEQ. Octatrack is a different beast, but to be able to see all 32 steps of 8 tracks at the same time is just sequencing porn for me. I think I can live without it and keep using Octatrack…

You definitely can - there’s not really anything it can do that Octa can’t. Once they implement user chords per step / track, it’ll be a different animal but as stands that’s pretty prohibitive

This offer makes me wonder if the Seq will be discontinued to make way for the next version which I could imagine revert to having the euro outputs built in which I think they first thought would happen. If so then I’d personally prefer the Seq and Poly separate so another sequencer can be used to control Poly.

anyone here still using this? are you happy with it?

I´m very happy

How happy? I’m looking long term for a sequence solution for my Blackbox.

I am using it to play all my hardware synth (simultaneously if needed with different midi channels assigned) and a Clavia ND2 with a Midi thru Box from Kenton. Sync from OT and with a little Merger I have it additonally connected with a Arturia Keystep so I can play notes with it and record them to the Polyene if I like (chords as well).

In my opinion it is the best for playing Notes, not so much for “just” drum triggering, seems a bit of a overkill for that.

Concept is not just visual porn for me as stated. I think it is really helpful in a creative way, if that makes sense… and it makes lots of fun, definitely a keeper for me. Polyend takes good care of users, updates are solid as well.

Any cheap old iPad and the app koushion would be a much cheaper solution
