I’ve envisioned this one note song too! Never got around to anything like it yet, I totally would if I could stop time and not need to eat or sleep…

The OTs the kind of thing where you can sample yourself sitting down to the piano, clearing your throat, opening up the cover of the keys, playing one note, and with that create an entire track with beats, melodies, sound effects, glitched out rhythms, and more…

I can’t stress enough the 8 recorders, buffers, and recorder trigs…
The OT can be continuously sampling from its inputs or resampling (individual tracks, mains, or cue) samples of various lengths, starting on any step, even every step, and updating any step or steps of any of the tracks continuously with the new material, or slices of it. x8!
It’s super deep and I’ve never seen any other gear that can do anything like it… You could program it so you play in one note and it creates an electronic symphony that keeps morphing on and on…
In my opinion this is what sets the OT apart from any other machine…

It’s conceivable that you could program an automated sample/warp/resample process to play an extremely complex soundscape or even a whole song just by sampling a note, or a noise even, and the process you programmed would make the soundscape/song out of the one sample and it’s automated resamples… Initiated just by pressing play and feeding it that note or noise, no samples loaded.
