MKII - killer feature - INT - monitoring

I don’t recall seeing anyone point this out so obviously, so I am doing others a favor.

OT MKII has a killer feature, that is, the INT monitoring lights next to REC1 and REC2 lights.

If you send a record buffer the main out, you can (I am pretty sure) monitor whether you are clipping OT internally.

This is so great. I’m going to rethink all my gain staging.

For me, this is well worth the upgrade from MKI to MKII.

I was dealing with some clipping internally, and I was bemoaning the lack of an objective way to monitor that - until now.

Cheers

Sorry for the scoop, MKI does it !
MKI Midi button (and led) corresponds to MKII REC3. You have to be in Rec Setup though.
Rec Setup needed for MKII or not?

And the funny thing is that with that MKI Midi button you can multiply loops with Pickups, MKII can’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway it’s good to remind it, it’s an interesting meter workaround.

Good call! I kind of thought I should have asked you first - haha. I’ll leave this thread up for anyone else looking later.

No, you don’t have to be in record setup on the MKII. Once you enable it, the meter is active across banks, patterns, and tracks.
