You don’t state your exact settings but you need to remember that the internal synth sequencer tracks also transmit MIDI messages.
A long overdue, ‘thanks for your response’. I’ve gotten somewhat better at using global to extract unwanted sounds. The original error, as I understood, was believing there was more of a relation of MIDI channels to the effect of sounds. I do get hung up on the trivial pursuits of what a machine does and the intentions, rather then being thankful that there are 126 or 128 directly assignable voices along with many MIDI
accessible parameters on such voices. The assignable joystick is very much delights of controlling effects.
