External Midi Sync in > Din Sync 48 not working on Midi Thru out

Hi

I have my Rytm synced to a Pamela’s New Work out on my modular, and I have the Din Sync out on the Midi Thru Port set at 48 and going to my LINNDRUM.

If I Start the Rtym as a Master the Din Syn is correct at 48 - But If I drive the Rytm from an Extrnal Midi clock (as a slave) I still get Din Sync but only at 24ppq (even thou it is set to 48ppq).

Is this right?… I cannot find any way of changing this.

Thanks

Frank

Good catch

I’d say this was a bug, I can confirm it is as you describe

You’ll have to submit a support ticket to support

I set BPM to 30 and listened to filter modulation on a ms20mini
I set DINsync out to 24 and DINsync thru to 48

when it was swapped between the two ports it was very clear (the effective square LFO)

so when it was synced by another Elektron box the Thru channel’s DINsync clock most definitely dropped down to 24

Sounds like something that’ll be very easy to fix

FWIW, breakout cable as per this post, I don’t have a DINsync machine to test, but I’m keen to clock divide the DINsync on the cheap to hook up CV clock devices without using up an A4 CV channel or an impulse track on the AR
