External Midi sync analog Rytm MK2 + Beatstep Pro

Hi Guys,

Yesterday i tried to sync
My Beatstep pro to the rytm.

I want my Beatstep as a master clock…

I can’t get any sync with that config…

When i use my rytm or my daw as a master clock
Everything is fine…

This is how plug the cables…

Bsp clock out
Rytm Midi thru…
Set bsp sync to clock

I changed all settings…
I don’t know… why that config… it’s not working

Maybe my midi thru connector is damaged?
Hopefully not… :frowning:

Looking for help… :frowning:

The thru port does only copy incoming midi notes, or could work as a Din Sync (i guess thats the right term).

Try BSP clock to rytm and Midi out rytm to your DAW, this should work.

But if you want to record your midi notes in your DAW, you can also go BSP to DAW and then midi out to rytm.

But I want my bsp AS master clock… it doesn’t work when go from bsp to rytm via din sync … I don’t know why… when I choose the opposite direction… it’s working… :frowning: so the thru connector is for incoming midi sync?

no, the THRU is for the outgoing din sync from the rytm

Use the gray (not the black) adapter and plug it into MIDI OUT (not clock out) on BSP

Connect MIDI OUT from BSP to MIDI IN on Rytm

Press the Sync Button on BSP until INT is flashing

On Rytm activate CLOCK RECEIVE and TRANSPORT RECEIVE

Make sure that also PORT CONFIG is set to “Input from MIDI”

It works now fine!?!

Thank u guys… 4 supporting me…

4 what is the BSP clock out port!?;
When I can’t use it 4 clock out synchronization!?!

It is a cv clock out, like a gate trigger for Modular things. But it don`t talk with your RYTM, because it needs DIN-Sync.
