Is it possible to trigger 4 sounds to a CV-capable drum machine with the A4? Or would that require 4 CV tracks? I’m not exactly sure how triggering is implemented…

i took a quick look but i can’t see that the triggers are individual “channels” on the CV-track.

I think the 4 outputs are enough in theory to trigger 4 CV drum voices (because it’s only gate rather than gate+note like a melodic voice) but the real limitation is how many tracks you have on the A4: 4 internal voice tracks, the CV track and the FX track. So unless you’re willing to sacrifice 2 internal tracks then you’re limited to 2 external drum sounds, with 2 CV outputs going spare for something like modulation.

Hi, I have a nord drum 2 i would like to sequence with my analog four. There are 4 cv outs and one cv track as you know. Is it possible to trigger only the CV output of our choice on that cv track alone ? i have 6 cv inputs on the nord drum 2, and the 4 inputs i connect to the a4 all trigger at the same time when setting the a4 cv outs to gate. for example, i would like this: trig 1 will spit out on cv output A and trig 5 on cv output B ...
