Recently purchased my first piece of hardware, the Elektron Monomachine, but I am currently having troubles getting any sort of configuration from it on my Ableton. My main goal is to be able to record notes, record audio from the monomachine straight to ableton, and use the fx options that the monomachine offers. I purchased a midi to usb chord to try and connect it via USB, but nothing works. I downloaded c6, but other than that I am completely lost on what to do.
I only have an audio mixer. What midi interfaces do you recommend for the monomachine?

Now how do I get to recording the FX and also the possible introduction of midi
