Can digitakt set scale/key of the pads?

OK, great, so I can’t do it on the Digitakt but I can do it on the Digitone.
Will it set the scale for external midi? or only if I use the trigs on the Digitone?

Yes, it will set the scale for external midi.
All notes that are out of scale will not sound.

This also makes it kind of useless, because you can’t use an external keyboard to add in some out of scale notes. I usually just set the root note and leave the scale set to chromatic to avoid troubleshooting external midi.
