Blown buffers?

I was sending clean sine waves to a Thru machine on Track 5 on inputs AB and I was getting a bad digital clipping sound all over my signal, even after throttling the gain. I cleared all effects and scenes which didn’t help. I then switched to AB on Thru/Track 6 and voilà, signal came through clean. Is it possible to blow out the recording buffers on individual tracks?

your buffer is just memory so no i doubt it

your inputs yes but if another thru works fine then they are fine

daft but try a diff project

I guess it was some bad settings.
Easy to clip with Thru Vol + Level + Amp Vol + Master Level set to max !

You can also check with DIR, without Master Track, or neutral setting for Master Track (Level = 127).

No problem. It’ll take me a few hours before I get back home, but I’ll let you know.

Turned back on and no problems. If it happens again, I’ll switch projects to check.
