Audioconverter AIF -> WAV

Hi,

I’ve searched the forum for a good and easy audio converter (aif to wav) for my Digitakt. Nothing worked out.
Is there any easy to use audio converter that can convert many files in a row?

The digitakt will play aiff files they just have to be named properly, can’t remember if it was .aif or .aiff though. there was another thread floating around about it

Cool I’ll try it right away. What kind of format do I need to choose? WAVE, WAV (Microsoft), WAV (Nist Sphere) ?

You select the output format under settings, and then just drag and drop files & convert. I usually use WAVE (Linear PCM, 24-bit), although I haven’t researched the differences between the WAV selections

Thx guys. My problem was: I tried to convert audio files from certain Ableton Packs… turns out they are kind of copy protected :sweat:

Same as me, any solution for that

You mean a solution to overcome the copy-protection of certain AIFs coming with Ableton? Well, the simplest way is to resample them (play + record => save as wav).

I guess it’s not appropriate to discuss other (real) cracking methods here.

resample :tongue:

We’re not going to condone working around legal protections of copyrights.
